I started my photography career in the McDonalds Drive Thru world of portraiture: on a Cruise Ship. It's where I grew my passion, whilst taking thousands of photos of people and travelling the world, seeing and photographing some amazing places.
I've gone from learning to shoot with film, to finding out all the incredible things you can do with digital and honing my skills with editing. I still learn something new every single day and a good photographer should do just that.
Over the last twenty years, I have learned to read people. When I meet clients for the first time and they often tell me 'I don't like to have my photo taken', I see that as a challenge. I try my best to make even the most camera-shy feel at ease and I get an enormous sense of achievement when I get them to relax and enjoy it. It's not so much about getting big, silly smiles; it's more letting personalities shine through in the images and catching genuine expressions of love and character.
